I am sharing with you today a review of this promising Royal Rose Hydrating Serum from Valentia. When I saw the ingredients it contained I was so ecstatic! The only concern I had was that its for sensitive to dry skin, but I still wanted to try it primarily because of the claims in antioxidant protection, smooths skin tone & texture and boost skin radiance.
Let's talk about the packaging:
The box feels very luxurious and sturdy. I really like the white and gold design which makes the packaging look very attractive. I also appreciate the logo design and compliments the whole theme of the design. The bottle also feels very sturdy with a pump for easy clean application.
Product texture, consistency and scent:
When I opened the bottle it contains a semi white transparent fluid that feels soft and creamy to the touch. It doesn't have any smell such as a fragrance or any strong irritating scent, which is good since it is supposed to be for sensitive skin.
Claims and effects of the Serum:
According to the description on the box all of the ingredients are 98% natural. It has Rosa Damascena (for providing balance and moisture), Niacinamide / Vitamin B (clinically proven to fade away hyper pigmentation, sun spots, and acne), Rosehip Seed Oil (essential fatty acid that lock in skins moisture), Evening Primrose Oil (provide light, non-oily moisture to the skin), Bearberry (reduces melanin production and lightens the skin), and Lavender (heals the skin, treating pimples, wounds and sores).
The ingredients on this serum sounds familiar with the Rose Hydrating Serum from Fresh. I have not tried that serum yet, but it has these similar ingredients such as Rose Flower Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. My experience with this product is that it is true to the word about giving you radiance. Whenever I wake up I can see my face feeling uplifted and happy with a soft radiance compared to just applying my nightly moisturizer every night.
My problem with the serum is that since I have very oily skin, I don't think it help keep my pimples at bay. I saw a little more breakout as usual because I think the product is overly hydrating which I think would be really good for people with dry skin. For the skin texture I didn't see much difference in improvement after using it for a month. Overall I think if I had dry skin, this serum would work in wonders, but since I have very oily skin, I received a different result. I would probably be best suited for their Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum rather than the hydrating serum. You can find these products one Valentia.com and on Amazon.
Thank you guys for reading!
Much Love Rx
